The big day finally came. The day that Shawn and I have waited 8 months for. Christmas Day. This year we were really really excited about Christmas. We had a Big, and I mean BIG surprise for the kids.
On Christmas Eve, Shawn and I set out a huge box that said "To Savannah and Nick, from Mom and Dad, DO NOT TOUCH!!" We put it out early enough in the day so that the kids could wonder about it and try to figure out what it was. There were quite a few funny guesses.

Christmas Day
The next morning the kids wanted to go to that box first but the mean parents we are we made them open their presents from Santa first. They loved what they got from Santa but it was killing them to know what was in the Big ol' Box. Finally the big moment was here, they opened the top of the box and what did they find? Lots of small presents. So it wasn't any of the things that they had thought. They started opening the presents and I could tell that they were a bit disappointed. It was just clothes. And summer clothes at that, in the middle of winter. What was mom and dad thinking. They kept working on the presents. Summer clothes, Church clothes, ....swimsuits, it was getting better. Sunglasses, goggles, sunscreen, and then finally the best gift of all, they got a big book that had a picture of a Cruise Ship on it. They opened the book and found 4 tickets for a Cruise. In February. Woo Hoo. They were so dang excited. It was the best gift ever.
