Swimming with friends!!!

We love to go to the big pool with our friends. This year it was all about the diving boards. Nick even got brave enough to do a front flip off of the low board. Aaaahhhh, its scary as a mom. Savannah went off the high dive for the first time and she did great. I love the pool because I love the sun, although, I wish I would have listened to my mom and started using sunscreen many years ago. My skin would have thanked me for it. Anyway, it was a fun day in the sun.

Nick's 8th Birthday Party!!

So I don't do a big friends birthday party every year but we do at age 8. Nick wanted to have a swimming party like Savannah but he wanted it here at home. We Swam, had a water balloon fight, ate hot dogs, jumped on the trampoline, roasted smores over the fire pit and then ended the party with fireworks. It was as Nick said, The best party ever mom!!! Happy Birthday Nick!

4th of July Celebration!!!

The fourth of July is always exciting. To us Burrell's it means Sugarhouse Park. This year we started our day with the 5K at Murray Park (Picures to be posted later). Then we went to Sugarhouse Park with some friends and family. It was fun as always. The winner of the competition of who can get glow sticks at the cheapest price went to Tony this year, actually it went to Charayne, although she kinda cheated. She went to the Dollar Store and got like 20 or 30 for a dollar. She's the winner for sure. The fireworks were great and we had a fantastic time as always. Happy 4th of July!!!!!

He's a scout!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that my baby is a cub scout. I thought this day would never come. Nick went on his first scout camp on July 2nd and July 3rd and he had a blast. We are working hard so he can get his Bobcat at Pack Meeting this month. It's pretty cool that Shawn is still the Cubmaster so he can be the one to give Nick his first awards.

Birthday party at mom's house.

I decided that instead of doing a really long post, I would break it into a bunch of smaller posts. It will be easier to read that way. Well here are some pictures of Shawn and Nick's birthday at my mom's house. It was all about the water, suprising huh? The kids played in the river at Draper park and then it was back to mom's for Pizza and more water, notice the grown-up with the hose. (Tony is always in the action when it comes to water.) Thanks for a fun party mom!!!

Where did June go?????????

Where did June go??? I was so good at keeping updated and then summer hit. This is going to be a LOOOOOOONG post. Well, we have been keeping busy since our trip to St. George. School is finally out and summer is finally here. Yeah!!! I went on a girls night out with a couple of my good friends, Wendi and Erin, to Park City. Wendi is the blonde on the left and Erin is the brunette on the right. I am in the center, hee hee. We stayed over night at Erin's condo and just relaxed. We walked down main street, toured the Family History Center, watched some chick flicks, ate some ice cream, and got pedicures. It was a great time. It was the second year that we have done an overnight with just the girls and it definitely won't be the last.
