***JULY 4TH***

This year we tried something new for the 4th of July. We decided to go up and hike Timpanogas Caves. Now I sometimes think that I am kinda in shape, but this hike proved me wrong. I am very, very, out of shape. The hike was brutal. We got up early in hopes of hiking while it was still a bit cool, but when we got up there at 9am, they were booked until 11:50am. That meant we got to hike in the middle of the day. Can I say HOT!!!We brought up 8 water bottles for the 4 of us, I thought 1 up and 1 down per person would be just fine. Well, it wasn't. We went through 6 on the way up. Good thing that coming down is SO MUCH EASIER. Anyway, the kids complained most of the way up, but they loved the caves once we got there. It was so nice and cool in the caves, we even put on our Jackets. Nick and I got a little Claustrophobic towards the end of the tour of the caves, but we did pretty good for the most part. Anyway, it was so fun and I hope to do it again (but not too soon:)....After Timp we came home and took a nap before the annual firework show at Sugarhouse Park. Everyone was there this year, even Grandma and Grandpa Simister. Tony and I worked together this year to find the lowest price on glow necklaces, we ended up getting 6 for 10$. Not our best deal but still pretty good. Here are some pics of our awesome 4th of July On our way up....Vannna's NOT happy. My Cute kids and I. Inside the caves. There is a river behind Nick and Shawn. It was so cool.
Stalactites and Stalagmites, I cant quite remember which is which, I think Stalactites hang tight to the ceiling and Stalagmites might reach the ceiling someday.
The heart of the Cave. It has a reaaaaaaalllllllly long story to it about 2 lovers. (See the movie Titanic-Kinda like that!!!)We are OUT.
The Burrell's at Sugarhouse Park.
The Whole Simister Gang...and some of Charayne's Herrman's ( I hope I spelled it right Charayne:) PS... My Dad, Dave, was hitting on the lady in purple in the back, we don't know who she was but they were best friends by the end of the night. Hee, Hee, Hee.

A picture tells a thousand words...

We have been so busy lately that I have just gotten out of the habit of blogging. So here is my catch-up in pictures. It may be a little mixed up, but there is so much and I just keep adding and adding more and more:)

Savannah's Field Trip to "This is the Place" National Park and Monument. This was so fun. I haven't been there since I was a kid and boy has it changed. It's a whole village now. The kids got to pull handcarts, try pulling an old tiller, and they listened to an old Civil War Union Soldier talk about the war. He was hilarious to me, but I don't think the kids got all his jokes. Boy its good to be an adult sometimes.
Nicks Field Trip to Clark Planetarium. We had a great time. My cute group of boys were so fun and Soooooo full of Energy. Don't ya wish that you could just bottle some of it up and use it yourself? This is my group in front of their favorite thing, the ball drop. They just kept coming back to it. The Star Light Show was cool; but the Ball Drop had it beat. Savannah riding Bailey at Grandma and Grandpa Simisters house.
FIRST PLACE!!!!!!! Need I say More?? Look at their happy faces after they got their trophy's. These are the belt buckles and one of the Saddles that were given to the winners at Grandpa Hendricks Memorial Roping. A scholarship in Grandpa Hendricks name was also announced that will be given to a hardworking student.

Mesa Falls, It was raining but we had a great time as a family there. We have stopped there many times over the years on our way home from Grandpas Cabin. This was the biggest I have ever seen the falls. It was Awesome.

This is a picture of Grandpas Headstone. We went and visited it when we went up to Idaho for his Memorial Roping. It was a wonderful time and I was so happy to see so much of our family there.

Swimming with Cousins at the hotel in Rexburg Idaho.

Alana, Lincoln, Savannah, Rylan, Nicholas, and Jaxson
Lucas and Nicholas Karli, Savannah and Cali.
These are Pictures of our 4 Generations- Grandma Simister, Great-Grandma Hendricks, Me and Nick and Me and Savannah. We took these pictures when we went up for the Memorial Roping.

This is our summer so far. It has been fun and busy. I love the age of my kids, we have such a great time together. They are turning into little adults so fast, I love having the summer to remind us all that they are just kids. I will try to keep up a bit better on the posting. Hee Hee Hee. We will see.
