"Wet and Wild"

So last weekend we decided to head down to St. George for some warm weather.  The weekend before, my parents went and got temperatures of 65 degrees or so.  We headed down and what did we get?  Rain!!  Lots and Lots of rain.  It was kinda a bummer too because we brought down our friends the Slessers with us.  Fortunately we are very creative and we got a bunch of fun things in during the brief moments of sunshine.  We started out by having dinner at our favorite spot in St. George, Mongolian BBQ.  YUMMMMMMY.  It was a hit with every one of us. 

Saturday morning we woke up to rain.  Shawn took the kids over to the racquetball court to play.  We also got a game of Laser tag in.  After that we headed over to our favorite park and had a picnic lunch.  The kids had a blast.  We talked about going to a movie but it stopped raining long enough for us to head up to "The Crack" instead.  The kids loved it.  None of the adults went up it but the kids actually went up twice and then came back down it once.  Terry also found another spot to climb through and all 5 kiddos followed him up it and then back down it. 

In between rainstorms the kids fit in a game of tennis while Julie and I watched.  That is my kind of tennis.  The kind where I don't have to go chasing the ball around :)  The kids also decided to climb up in the tree at my mom's house (don't tell my mom) and of course I had to get a picture of them before I made them get out of it.

While driving home we hit a few blizzards, especially a big one in Cedar City.  The weekend was definitely worth it though.  I feel rested and refreshed.  Thanks to my Mom and Dad for the free place to stay in a fun location.  We LOVE it!!!!

Our "Last Minute" Cruise--Warning, lots and lots of pictures!!!

So last month, My cute husband called me up and said, "Don't say no until I tell you all the details."  I must say no alot :)  Anyway, he went on to say that his friend Carla at work was going on this cruise and it was such a good deal and that we should go.  I said no.  He then said that he told me not to say no until he told me all the details :)  Oops.  He then told me the great deal and that the cruise was the following week.  After talking about it on the phone for a few minutes, we decided to go.  Just like that.  We never do anything spur of the moment but he had a good point that it could be a 15th year Anniversary Cruise for us.  Soooooo, off on our cruise we went with Carla and her husband Quinn (it was their 21st year Anniversary.)

We went a day early so that we could spend a day in Miami.  Neither of us had ever been there.  We had a fun day going down to South Beach for lunch.  We spent some time on the beach, shopping and we had a great lunch at an outdoor restaurant.  It was so warm and we had a blast.  That night we went to dinner and enjoyed some more of Miami.

The next day it was on to the Bahamas.  Yeah!!!!!  We spent the day on the boat and then we left dock at about 5pm.  The sunset was amazing!!   We had a yummy BBQ and music and we just ate and ate and ate.  When we got to our room, there was a cute little towel elephant.  Each night there was a different animal.  People are so creative, I wish I could think up these cute ideas.

We cruised all night and when we woke up, we were in Nassau.  We got up, had a HUGE Breakfast and then we went into Nassau for a tour.  We had an awesome tour guide named Charlie, and he kept us laughing for the next 4 hours.  We went to the Atlantis Hotel, which I have been wanting to see forever.  We went to a Fort ( I can't remember its name.)  We went shopping and we went to "The queen's staircase."  We also had a tour through the rich part of Nassau and the not so rich part of Nassau.  We then headed back to our boat for lunch.  After lunch we went to a beach, with a band that kept singing terrible songs.  Not that the band was terrible but the songs that they were singing were awful.  That night we ate a awesome dinner and then went to a variety show.

The next day we stopped at NCL's private island called Stirrup Cay.  I don't know what I was expecting but it was awesome.  Sand, Sun, Surf, Snorkel and BBQ.  That was what the whole day was about.  There was music, a limbo contest, food galore and it was so much fun.  We took a smaller boat out to the island.  It was packed but it was fun to people watch while we were waiting to get on.  Carla and I got bored and we put a gum wrapper on some lady's hat.  The hat was so big and obnoxious that it was just calling for someone to put something on it.  That night we came back to the cruise ship and had another great dinner.  After dinner we went and did a little bingo, and then had the best comedian ever.  I can't remember his name but all his jokes were about marriage and family.  And he was very clean.  I love to find a good, clean comedian.  He was so funny.

The next day we had to go home.  The cruise came to an end.  It was too short and so much fun.  I can't wait until the next one.  Hopefully soon.  Really soon.  Really, Really Soon!!! :)
