Nick and Newsies

Nick is lucky enough to be in the same grade as our Drama Teachers daughter so each year so far at Early Light Academy he has been able to get some drama instruction. This year the 5th grade and the 9th grade worked really, really hard on the musical "Newsies."  My brave boy tried out for the part of "Jack" and even though he did not get the part, Mrs. Butler let him have a small speaking part.  My camera was having an off day but here are a few very bad pictures.  Hopefully when Nick hits Middle School, he will keep trying out for the plays and will keep on loving it.  I love watching him perform.  This next month, the kids are both going to be in the School Musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."  I can't wait.
