Oakcrest Girls Camp

So this year was my first year to go to Oakcrest girl’s camp. We went in June so it was when they just opened it for the year. When we got there all you saw was this BIG field of grass. When we got off the bus we had to drop all our stuff on the grass and head up to where we had meetings. When we got the place we had meetings we were assigned our cabins and people who were in our cabin.  Only one person from my ward was in my cabin and it was Lacey. When we headed up to the cabins I had to stay behind and help Lacey carry up her bag because she brought a HUGE duffel bag instead of a small duffel or a suit case. When we finally got the cabin we ended up getting bottom bunks because everyone already chose theirs and we were there last. On the first day it was mostly just showing around the camp and learning the rules. At Oakcrest we did some pretty fun things like zip line, bow and arrow shooting, foam slide, and we even had a new years eve party (Because we get a theme and ours was new years eve). At the party we went in to where we usually eat and there was a disco ball and party decorations and it was just really fun. My cabin mates were awesome to. The people in my cabin were me, Lacey, Mia, Loren, Lizy, and Courtney.  Our Counselor that stayed in our cabin and took us to all the activities, her name was Pineapple. They give each of the Counselors a fake name and at the end they tell us their real names. Oak Crest Was really fun and I can’t wait to go one more time
